Do yourself a favor and hire Vernales. If I could give more stars, I would’ve! Joe is the definition of awesome. He was easy to get a hold of (which is not always the case in wedding vendors), he was quick to respond and follow up, he’s SO kind, and wait, did I mention – OUR FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE. We are still getting messages about how delicious everything was. Joe and his great team executed our vision perfectly, they were on top of every detail and so accommodating to changes. Their expertise shines! Vernales was hands down the easiest to work with and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

Joe from Vernales made us feel comfortable and excited about wedding planning from the first time we spoke with him. When we dropped by the restaurant to taste some of their (terrific) food, he stopped by our table to check in and make sure we had no questions unanswered. He was prompt with responses to all emails, & his team was full of self-starters (we left plates in a heap before our buffet wedding and they showed up early and took initiative to organize and move them to the buffet tables they set up before we even arrived to instruct them). As for the food itself- you would never know catered food could taste this good. We had chicken marsala, vegetable pasta with pesto cream (to DIE for. I was the bride and even as busy as I was, I wanted seconds) and finished with their fresh cannolis for dessert in lieu of cake!

Could not say enough about this awesome vendor! So easy to work with, helpful, kind and the food was amazing! The staff was wonderful and made everything run smoothly! If you need a caterer in the Petoskey area definitely book this one! Wedding date 7/9/21

Vernales catered our wedding and did such a great job. Joe and Ashley were so great to work with and the food was amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our “tasting” for the August wedding!! We were delighted to meet Joe, we felt like he was a long lost relative. He was so easy to talk to, and he provided a nice history of how Vernales came to be. Ashley was also extremely polite, kind, knowledgeable and eager to please, we are looking forward to working with her! The FOOD was out of this world!!! Every dish we sampled was just marvelous, and the presentation was beyond our expectations! You truly knocked it out of the park; and we look so forward and we will be so proud to share this BIG DAY with Vernales! Wow!!!

I worked closely with Ashley while planning my wedding day menu. Everything from breakfast to dinner, the bar, allergies, tastings, etc. I went back and forth with a lot of things, had a bunch of questions, and several changes in guest count. Ashley was incredibly patient and kind, very knowledgeable with recommendations, and overall wonderful to work with. I didn’t get to talk to the catering staff much on my wedding day, but when we had to move indoors due to the weather I was told the catering team did an incredible job getting everything they needed together and didn’t add to the stress of everyone else running around changing things. The food was SO good and I still am getting compliments on our choices. We also held our rehearsal dinner at their restaurant, which was amazing! Everyone enjoyed themselves and the food was amazing that night as well. Nikki was great to work with in planning and organizing this as well. Big shout out to her for personalizing the menus, everyone loved them and it was such a special touch.

One table even told us a server brought them all a mini plate of the kids’ meal because it looked so good — such a thoughtful touch that really speaks to the staff’s attentiveness. The late-night snacks came out hot and delicious, the bartenders were friendly, and there was never a line at the bar thanks to how efficient the service was.

We had such an incredible experience with Vernales catering team for our wedding from start to finish! Ashley was absolutely amazing to work with throughout the planning process. She was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and always willing to work with us to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted.

We also had our tasting at their restaurant, and we were so impressed with both the level of service and the food. It was such a great experience and gave us so much confidence going into our wedding day.

On the wedding day, everything was completely seamless. The staff was attentive, professional, and incredibly helpful, and we had absolutely zero hiccups. They handled everything so smoothly that we were able to enjoy our wedding without having to worry about a thing.

And, of course, the food was delicious! Everything from the appetizers and dinner to the late-night snacks and desserts was fantastic. We received so many compliments from our guests about the food, which was especially important to us. It was clear that the catering team put a lot of care into every detail.

We highly recommend their catering services for any event, and we also highly recommend making a visit to their restaurant. The food is delicious, and the restaurant itself has such a cozy, cool atmosphere. We are so grateful they were part of our wedding day!
